I read somewhere about putting the hulls, since they usually still have some strawberry attached, into balsamic vinegar to steep. I actually had enough hulls that I double-steeped my vinegar. The strawberry-flavored balsamic is really yummy on everything, especially lettuce. Just thought I'd pass the suggestion along to you for next year. I enjoy reading your blog.
